Scott and Taryn Hofert were formerly on staff at Westwinds Church in Jackson, Michigan (www.westwinds.org) for 5+ years. Scott served as the Adult Journey Designer and Taryn as the Worship Leader at Westwinds. They have been married 5+ years and have a son, Colsen. Scott is originally from Buffalo, NY, and Taryn is originally from Salem, CT.

Matt and Donna O’Neil resided in Jacksonville, Florida, before moving to Charlotte. Matt was the Student Ministries Pastor at Eastpointe Church in Jacksonville for 5+ years and Donna was not only a support in ministry, but also a full-time mom. Matt and Donna have two adopted children: a daughter, Jyoti from India, and a son, Sullivan from Thailand. Both Matt and Donna are originally from Lexington, KY.

The Hoferts and O’Neils met in 1996 while working together for the missions organization, World Help, in Virginia. The O’Neils and the Hoferts served together in India as part of an 8-month short-term missionary team led by Matt and Scott. They have been good friends and co-dreamers for the past 8 years, and they have prayed for many years about the prospect of church planting and leading a church together. Both families moved to Charlotte in January 2004. Watershed held its first Transit September 17th, 2005.
