We believe that we are all conduits of Divine resources.

Generosity is a way of life. We all have time, energy, abilities, and resources to give. When you get to know Watershed you’ll see that we are a lean organization. A small staff, a rented Sunday morning gathering place – we keep things simple so that the resources you give will be allotted to endeavors that matter deeply to God. We value people over steeples. We care for the needy more than pageantry – but serving the Queen City in an urban setting is crazy expensive. From renting a place to meet on Sundays to purchasing equipment for various areas (children's activities, sound, etc), equipping teams to assist at-risk students in our city, from providing basic office supplies to organizing mailings, it all adds up. In the midst of all that expense, we don't want church to be about money. Period.

For too long, people have steered clear of church because of televangelists and the like who have taken advantage of people and squandered resources irresponsibly, extravagantly, and selfishly.

When you attend Watershed, you will see that no offering plate or basket is passed. If people want to give to help support what we are doing in our community and elsewhere, then we gladly will accept it, but we will not make pleas and beg. We know that those who call Watershed their church home will give because they believe in the mission, vision, and values of Watershed and they find that giving back to God through Watershed is a way we can worship God by giving back to Him a part of what He has given us. It's through that sacrifice we really do find joy, reward, and fulfillment.

On Sundays at Transit we place wooden and metal boxes in the café area and the back of auditorium for gifts of support or generosity. Again, we will not pass a plate or beg - we just ask that if you feel compelled to help further the mission of Watershed in Charlotte that you would partner with us by giving generously. For those who consider themselves spiritual inquirers, we invite you to come and experience a Sunday Transit with us, attend a Bloc in a home during the week, or hang out with us for coffee.
