a community of faith, hope, love and justice

First visit?  We're glad you're here.

We encourage you to show up at least 15 minutes before Transit begins (Transit is at 10am) in order to engage in friendly conversation with those gathered in our café area, grab a Weekly (our version of a bulletin), fill a plate with Panera carbs and grab yourself a hot cup of fair-trade freshly brewed coffee (feel free to bring your own mug!). Our kids experience for ages 6 weeks old through fifth grade is located through the colorful entrance off our café area marked “GREENHOUSE” where you’ll find helpful volunteers in matching tees with smiling faces waiting to greet your little ones. You’ll find our café area warm and inviting, and we would love for you to stop by our information table in our café to say hello, ask any question you might have and to give us the chance to get to know you! The doors for Transit will open 10 minutes before the service begins so please feel free to go in and grab a seat (you can bring your food/coffee with you!). The band will begin playing a few minutes before Transit begins and we strive to create a space and atmosphere where you can be still, sip your coffee and prepare your heart.

If you come dressed casually, you won't be alone, but if you prefer bowties and heels, you can come as you like. We view your “Sunday Best” as simply showing up with an open heart and mind - no ironing required. Transit is designed for adults and their children ages Middle School and up. Participate at your comfort level (singing, clapping or standing...no pressure on any of it). We will not be passing offering plates of any kind. We do ask those who call Watershed home to give generously to our community, and you will notice metal and wood boxes in back of auditorium and in the lobby/café area for giving envelopes (enclosed in the weekly you receive when you enter the building) and info cards. We ask that you fill out the info card enclosed in the Weekly so that we can get to know you - we promise not to stalk you, and we’ll never knock on your door or spam you, but we would love to hear how you stumbled upon our community and how we can pray for and serve you!

If you have a newborn under 6 weeks or if you choose not to check your child into Greenhouse, our kids ministry experience, we ask that you sit in the very back 3 rows of our auditorium during Transit and that you exit if you child becomes verbal or restless in any way. We have provided a Parent/Child room off the café area where you can play and sit with your child while hearing Transit piped in through speakers, and we have a "nursing mothers" room off of our Seedlings class (babies Greenhouse room) . This is a quiet, soothing room for mothers only where moms can feed their babies while listening to Transit via a sound system. Thank you for honoring others’ Transit experience by allowing your children to be in environments conducive for their age group! The Middle School Bloc (MSB) for ages 6th-8th grade) meet in the curtained off room adjacent to the cafe area. You will notice the brightly colored signage...if your Middle Schooler is new, be comforted by the fact that our MSB leaders are experts in making them feel welcomed!

Transit is about an-hour-and-change long, and brimming with conversation, reflecting, teaching, discussion, song and sometimes elements of video or other media on which to ponder. In this gathering, we desire to connect deeply with God and each other and each week we aspire to find new and creative ways to express our overwhelming awe of a deep relationship with Jesus, and to discover how that translates to life beyond the Sunday morning. Not a Jesus-follower, per se? You are not just welcomed here, you are huge reason why we exist. Come and inquire, observe, participate, listen, chat, laugh and be.

Following Transit, we invite you to first claim your young ones in GreenHouse (if you have them), and then please stop by the Information table for a gift we have for you as well and to ask any questions you may have! If something in the service resonated with you, it's an invitation to pray and share your experience, and to have someone pray with/for you if you choose. We would love the chance to give you more information and help you connect here at Watershed and we hope you know that Sunday morning is only the tip of the iceburg when it comes to community and faith. We encourage you to take your Weekly home with you so you can read it more extensively and use the information to find out how you can connect at Watershed.

We look forward to having you as a part of our Transit experience!
