Why do they matter? It’s simple.
What makes Watershed special is our people, and one of our core beliefs is that transformation often happens within the context of relationships. Knowing and being known matters, and Sunday mornings aren’t often enough for people to really dive into a community relationship that allows this to happen. Regional Collectives were built with two things in mind: you + community.

We’ve chosen the term “regional” because we’re trying to increase accessibility, a foundational component to equity. We chose the name, “collectives” as a way of forming gatherings plus encouraging representation. Charlotte is marked by quite a bit of segregation. Our hope is for the table to be filled with the many different stories, lenses, and experiences that represent both our city and our Watershed community.
